Bath

Bath

I came to Bath after playing ‘Pin the Tail on the Donkey’ with a map of the South West. I knew I needed to leave London after the brand new Estate I lived on started to fall apart and the residents lives became blighted by drug’s and anti-social behavioural problems. I love London and it was a real wrench to leave but I felt I needed to experience somewhere new.

Bath is a beautiful city and I love the Georgian architecture and it’s location, surrounded by hills, but it also has a darker side too. During the day it is awash with tourists and shoppers, enjoying it’s world heritage status and it’s cafes…but at night it becomes an alcoholic nightmare. As I’ve worked in the homeless sector here, I see things that the casual observer may not see. My photography doesn’t reflect this duality but I’ve decided recently that I must try to focus, no pun intended, on all sides of Bath life in the future. Watch this space…
